It happens to more owners than you'd guess. A busy season, a family stretch, software you never quite trusted, and suddenly the books are half a year behind and getting heavier every month. No judgment here. Just one flat price and a clean finish line.
We reply within one business day. No pitch, no pressure.Flat, agreed in writing before we start. $1,750 is our standard rate; $1,000 is the price while monthly slots last.
Behind a month or behind six, the price is the same: every account reconciled to the statement, duplicates gone, miscategorized transactions fixed, and a P&L you can finally trust.
For scale: it's common to see $2,000 to $5,000 quotes for a year of catch-up, or hourly billing at $75 to $120 with no cap on the hours. Ours is flat, and it does not grow after we start.
A real cleanup is a serious, multi-week project, so we take three cleanup projects per month, no exceptions. If this month is spoken for, your written quote stays good for 60 days and you get first claim on next month.
Books more than 6 months behind get an honest quote up front, before you commit to anything.
How it works
Email or call. We reply within one business day and tell you exactly what we'd need to look at.
You grant view-only access to your QuickBooks (two minutes, revocable anytime). You get a flat quote in writing, good for 60 days.
Statement by statement, account by account. Duplicates removed, categories fixed, every balance matched to the bank.
Clean books, a P&L and balance sheet you can trust, and if you want to stay current, a flat monthly plan takes it from here.
The finish line, defined
No mystery, no hand-waving
Most cleanup quotes are a price and a shrug. Here is the real sequence, because the order matters more than most people realize.
We export your file exactly as it stands before touching anything, and protect any period that is already correct so cleanup cannot disturb it.
Wrong account types, duplicates, and categories nobody uses get corrected before a single transaction is touched. This is the foundation everything else sits on.
"Home Depot," "Home Depot #4412," and "HomeDepot" are one vendor. Duplicates quietly wreck both your reports and your 1099 totals.
Broken connections reconnected, missing history imported, so the transaction set is actually complete before anyone starts categorizing.
Uncategorized income and expense worked down to zero against real documents. Never bulk-accepted, never guessed.
Negative balances, stale items sitting for months, amounts that make no sense. Each one gets diagnosed rather than written off.
Every account matched to real statements, in order, to a zero difference. If something does not tie, we find out why. We never plug a number to make it balance.
Balances matched to what the lender says you actually owe, with interest and principal split correctly.
The cleaned numbers get checked against your filed returns. Differences get flagged to you and your CPA, not quietly buried.
Closing date set with a password so the cleaned months stay clean, everything exported, and a summary of what was wrong and what we fixed.
Straight answers about the hard part
Short answer: there is no such thing. There is only what it costs and how long it takes. Books that are three months behind are a tidy project. Books that are three years behind with a closed bank account and missing statements are a different animal, and we will say so in writing before you spend a dollar.
What actually makes a cleanup harder is not the number of months. It is missing records. Statements you can still download, we can work with. Accounts that are closed with no statements available are where projects get slow, because the transactions have to be rebuilt from whatever evidence still exists. If you are thinking about closing an old business account, download everything first. That is free advice and it will save you real money later.
Straightforward pricing
After cleanup, staying current is the easy part. One flat monthly plan and the backlog never comes back.
For solo operators keeping it lean
For established businesses with real volume
For businesses with crews, subs, and volume
“Accounts” means the bank and credit card accounts we reconcile each month. One business checking account plus one business credit card is 2 accounts. Not sure where you land? Tell us what you have and we’ll confirm your tier before you sign anything.
Flat monthly · No setup fee* · Email support on every plan · Month to month, 30 days' notice · Autodraft on the 1st, receipt emailed automatically
*Clean books start at no setup cost. If your books need cleanup first, that's the flat $1,000 cleanup, quoted before anything starts.
Fair questions
Reach out anyway. Bigger backlogs get an honest, flat quote up front before you commit to anything. The worst case is you know exactly what fixing it costs.
Bank and credit card statements for the catch-up months, uploaded through your secure portal link, and about an hour of your time total for questions along the way. That's it. We do the rest.
A cleanup is a multi-week project done right. We take three per month so nobody's project gets rushed, which is also why reaching out sooner beats later.
It fixes what your taxes are built on. You get tax-ready books your CPA can file from confidently. We don't prepare taxes ourselves, on purpose, so there's no upsell coming.
No. Behind books are our specialty, and we've seen far worse than yours. The owners who feel worst about their books are usually the ones busiest actually running their business.
Email or call. We reply within one business day, and you'll know exactly what caught-up costs before you commit to anything.
